Unplugging robots beats chasing fake AI progress

I keep wishing that every so-called “AI” system were as easy to turn off as the robotic arm I saw at that demo last week - just flip a switch, and it’s done, no drama. The funny thing is, the World Economic Forum keeps talking about sustainable tech, but you never hear them push for Net Zero-certified robots, like machines that actually run on solar instead of chugging out more emissions than a coal plant just by waving their arms around. And honestly, most of these “AI” demos aren’t even real artificial intelligence, just some pre-programmed robot arm doing tricks for the crowd. At least when those get annoying, you can just unplug them and move on.
