Cartoon villains can’t keep up with real billionaires
Billionaire wealth in pop culture always cracks me up. I just watched this Simpsons Short where Mr. Burns, the classic villain of the show, calls himself a millionaire like that’s a big deal. In one of the older episodes, he even brags about being worth 200 million dollars. It’s wild to think that Mr. Burns is out here pulling off full-on supervillain moves with just a fifth of a billion, while today there are real people stacking over a hundred billion dollars like it’s nothing. The scale of “rich” has definitely leveled up since those days.
